Coach Tippmann has completed 16 seasons as the Head Football Coach at Snider High School. In that time he has compiled 158 wins and 40 losses for a winning percentage of 80%. His winning percentage currently ranks as the 8th best in the State of Indiana for active coaches. In his 16 seasons, the Panthers have won 13 Sectional Championships, 6 SAC Conference Championships, 8 Regional Championships and 3 State Finals appearances in 2012 and winning the 5A State Championship in 2015 and in 2023.
In 2015 and 2023, Coach Tippmann was awarded the Dave Land Coach of the Year award for the State of Indiana.
Tippmann and his staff have produced 19 players that have continued their football careers at the division 1 level and two players have signed NFL contracts.
Coach Tippmann has been actively involved with the Indiana Football Coaches Association for all 15 years as a head coach, serving as the President in 2016. He now currently holds an executive board position – Director of Safety and Development.
Coach Tippmann has served as a Master Trainer for USA Football since 2016, traveling the Midwest speaking for USA Football about advances in the game.
Before becoming the head coach at Snider High School, Coach Tippmann spent 12 years as an assistant coach where he served as the defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator. He began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant for Hall of Fame Big 10 Coach Bill Mallory at Indiana University.
Coach Tippmann has taught Math at Snider High School for 29 years, teaching Advanced Placement Calculus and serving as the Math department head during that time. Kurt and his wife Martina have been married for 23 years and they have 3 sons, Hayden 22, Jake 18 and Sawyer 17.
